The Struggle for Semiconductor Supremacy

Over the past two years, the global semiconductor shortage has impacted consumers’ ability to purchase virtually all electronic goods, from new cars to gaming consoles. Behind the scenes, a geopolitical race between the United States, China and other nations is underway to become semiconductor self-sufficient in order to protect supply chains and safeguard against national security concerns. National Bank Geopolitical Analyst Angelo Katsoras joins Horizons ETFs’ Mark Noble to discuss the re-shoring of manufacturing, how it could impact pricing and who is poised to win the struggle for semiconductor supremacy.
