Quantitative Investment Co-op – Hybrid

Job Summary:

The Quantitative Investment Co-op will play a crucial role in supporting our investment management and product strategy functions. This hands-on opportunity is designed to immerse you in the exciting world of ETFs, investment analysis, and strategic product development. You will collaborate with experienced professionals, contribute to real projects, and gain invaluable insights into the investment management landscape.

Key Responsibilities:

Market Research and Analysis:

  • Assist in researching market trends, macroeconomic indicators, and asset class performance to identify potential investment opportunities.
  • Analyze competitor ETF offerings and market positioning to help inform our product strategy.
  • Gather and interpret data to generate insights that drive informed investment decisions.
  • Investment Strategy Support:
  • Contribute to the formulation of investment strategies aligned with market trends and client needs.
  • Collaborate with portfolio managers and analysts to assess risk-return profiles and portfolio construction techniques.

Product Development:

  • Aid in the development of new ETF products by conducting research, financial modelling, and feasibility assessments.
  • Assist in creating product proposals, including detailed investment rationales, competitive analysis, and projected financial performance.
  • Monitor and evaluate the performance of existing ETF products, generating reports and insights for management.
  • Contribute to the identification of potential enhancements or modifications to improve product performance and client satisfaction.

Communication and Reporting:

  • Support the preparation of materials for client presentations, internal meetings, and regulatory reporting.
  • Contribute to the creation of marketing content and thought leadership pieces related to investment strategies and products.

Industry Awareness:

  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, regulatory changes, and evolving investor preferences.
  • Continuously expand your knowledge of ETFs, investment management, and financial markets.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Current enrollment in a relevant Bachelor’s or Master’s degree program in finance, computer science, mathematics, economics or a related field.
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills with proficiency in Python.
  • Strong interest in investment management, finance, and the ETF industry.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and take initiative when needed.
  • A passion for learning and a desire to contribute to the success of the team.
